ULMEX and Zecher strengthen market presence with joint trade fair appearance
The companies ULMEX GmbH and Zecher GmbH are using their joint appearance at ICE Europe 2023 in Munich to further strengthen their market presence. Both companies have been working together successfully for several years and support each other in the sales of the products anilox rollers and laser cleaning systems. Under the motto “Your perfect partners for your printing project”, they will inform interested visitors at ICE Europe 2023 about the latest innovations of both companies, such as the further developed Evolux laser cleaning system, the new Evolux Smart technology for mobile laser cleaning or the latest update of the Zecher app to simplify predictive maintenance in the anilox market.
Innovative laser cleaning from Ulmex
The Evolux laser cleaning systems are convincing with their innovative concept for laser cleaning of anilox rollers. At ICE Europe, ULMEX will present the more compact and ergonomic Evolux 2000, which promises even better cleaning results thanks to its increased stability and reliability. This is particularly achieved by the Speedy Clean function. The Evolux laser cleaning system convinces with the following features:
- Effective cleaning of ceramic and chrome anilox rollers
- Removes persistent residues of inks, varnishes, adhesives, silicones and resins
- Also suitable for industrial applications with intensive 24/7 use
- Cleaning without the use of chemical solvents or detergents.
The heart of Evolux technology is the pulse laser, where not only the power of the laser can be regulated, but also the frequency and characteristics of the pulse can be calibrated. This means that cleaning can be easily adapted to individual customer requirements.
Furthermore ULMEX informs about the mobile and Europe-wide laser cleaning service. The entire fleet of vehicles is equipped with the latest Evolux Smart technology. Trained technicians carry out the cleaning directly on site at the customer’s premises. This can be done either offline, in the vehicle, or inline, in the machine, depending on the requirements. All vehicles are also equipped with 3D microscopes. Thus, after cleaning, the customer receives a detailed documentation of the cleaning result and the condition of the anilox rollers.
Zecher GmbH with a big anniversary
Zecher, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2023, will provide information on anilox rollers and sleeves with their innovative SteppedHex engraving, as well as the Zecher App as a pioneering form of digitalization in the printing industry. The latest update, which will be available right on time for the show, enables users of the app to take a further step towards predictive maintenance of their roller park. By showing a color code (green, yellow, red) once inspection results have been entered, users are able to identify at a glance anilox rollers that require action. The input of inspection results is not only possible for Zecher anilox rollers. Additional anilox rolls can be added manually. This enables customers to keep track of the performance of their anilox rollers and sleeves and minimize downtime through targeted reconditioning or reordering.
Zecher’s innovative SteppedHex engraving has established itself as an alternative to conventional hexagonal engraving and is becoming increasingly popular. The many additional advantages over conventional engravings lead to optimized printing results. These include:
- Higher linearity without significant volume loss
- Optimum printing nip ratios thanks to specially positioned engraving
- Improved emptying and cleaning
- Optimum support of the printing form, even in higher-resolution screens
- Use with all ink systems
- Particularly homogeneous transfer of white, varnish, gold and silver
