The second edition of East Afripack*, the processing, packaging and converting fair dedicated to the emerging economies of Eastern Africa Sub-Saharan Africa, will be held from 12 to 14 October 2016 in Nairobi (Kenya), at the Kenyatta International Conference Center.
Given the sizeable request for rebooking (over half of the 136 exhibitors), the event promises to repeat the success of the first edition.
In preparation for the approach of the exhibition in 2016, a busy schedule of approach and promotional undertakings are being planned, starting from Ipack-Ima 2015 (19-23 May), which will host an institutional area dedicated to member countries of the East African community to welcome the exchange between exhibitors and African institutions.
Among the other events designed to promote and strengthen the East Afripack 2016 brand in the EAC area, we report the conference organized in Uganda by partners UNIDO, in collaboration with the Kenyan Ministry for industrialization and development, EAC (East African Community) and ICE-Agency, that will highlight packaging as a strategic lever for technological development and competitiveness of local SMEs.
* East Afripack 2016 is organized by Ipack-Ima SpA in collaboration with the PMMI (US Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies) and in partnership with UNIDO, EAC and the Ministry of Industrialization and Enterprise Development of Kenya.
