From March 11 to 13, 2025, Robatech at CCE Munich will be presenting PerfectFold, a system that makes corrugated cardboard folding more efficient and precise. Other new products on display include coating heads for applying protective silicone paper and tear-off tape for the e-commerce sector, as well as guns for gluing paper carrier bags with cold glue.
PerfectFold, the “liquid creasing” system that visitors will be able to see in action at the CCE, is as brilliant as it is essential. The process involves the controlled application of a patented “weakening” liquid along the creasing lines. It will quickly penetrate the inside of the corrugated cardboard, leaving no visible traces, without damaging the cardboard but tangibly reducing its rigidity.
The corrugated cardboard can be folded along the softened creasing lines with precision with minimal contrast, largely solving problems such as cardboard breakage, the variability of the “gap” at the glue line and the misalignment of the flaps (“fish-tailing”). To apply the liquid, Robatech uses the proven electric guns model Sempre 30. The SpeedUp creasing liquid was specially developed for PerfectFold and leaves no traces on the corrugated cardboard.
Another attraction at the Robatech booth will be the two electric guns Vivo 18 and Presto.
- Vivo 18 is a compact and space-saving hot melt adhesive coating head that allows for uniform and precise application, ideal for applying protective silicone paper or tear tape in e-commerce packaging.
- Presto is a cold glue gun that ensures high-quality application with precise lines and clean “cuts”. Perfect for applications such as sealing “windowed” envelopes or gluing paper shopping bags.
