Lombardi Converting Machinery celebrates early success of its Chinese distributor as it grows exports of machinery for labeling and flexible packaging.
After its grand entrance on the Indian market, Lombardi Converting Machinery – a Brescia-based specialist in narrow web reel-fed flexographic machines for labels and flexible packaging – has signed an agreement with the Shanghai-based Zonten for distribution and assistance in the Chinese market. Made official during Labelexpo Asia in early December 2015, the partnership immediately yielded fruit with the sale of the concern’s first machine to a major labeler in Huangzhou District.
The meeting between Lombardi and Zonten occurred at LabelExpo Europe in Brussels, where the owner of the Chinese concern, Mr. Xiaoyu Lin, was struck by the new Synchroline’s technology, especially the register precision of the Italian concern’s latest generation machine.
Zonten, one of China’s foremost suppliers for printing labels and packaging, had been looking for a new brand for the Asian market that could guarantee quality and reliability. Lombardi offers just that.
«Finding a well-established family enterprise such as Lombardi – stated Xiaoyu Lin – has proven our greatest success in 2015. When we saw the two Synchrolines in operation at Labelexpo Europe, we knew that we had found the answer to Chinese and East Asian industries’ demands». The Italian concern’s management is also confident in their decision: «We are proud to be partnered with such a respected company as Zonten – stated Massimo Lombardi, the concern’s foreign sales manager – and we are confident that the machine we are delivering to Huangzhou will be followed by many others, destined all over East Asia».
«Following our success in recent years in Europe and North Africa – notes Claudio Lombardi, the company’s founder and president – and our Asian debut in 2014, our entry onto the Chinese market encourages us to carry on with the same technical and market strategies that we have been pursuing diligently and tirelessly for years».
