Omet brought to Labelexpo a complete offer of printing machinery for every application and requirement, giving live demos of the important design and construction features of its systems and fully confirming its place among the sector’s global leaders.
At a lively press conference held by the concern’s marketing staff, headed by marketing manager Marco Calcagni, the concern won over journalists in a Q&A session addressing the hot button topics.
The queen of the show was the new iFlex 370 mm for labels, whose ease of use and operational ergonomics have garnered much interest among printers around the world since its launch in May. Nominated for the Innovation Prize at the FlexoTech Awards 2015, iFlex is supported by instruments designed to achieve the best performance in quality, changeover speed, waste reduction and operator maneuverability. In particular, it features excellent pre-register and register devices, including the laser-based iLight and iVision, a control system that employs video-cameras mounted on each printing unit to correct the register before the job reaches the end of line.
iFlex also utilizes QCDC (Quick Change Die Cutting), a trolley with two separate parking spaces that simplifies die-cutting, and Rock’n’Roll, presented as the most high performance waste rewinding system on the market. Many were also excited about the XFlex X6 Offset 430 mm (equipped with QCDC and UV/LED curing), the ideal bridge between label printing and packaging printing, since it combines the quality of offset with the flexibility of flexo, enabling equally effective execution of flexible packaging, heatshrink sleeves, IML labels and special custom applications.
