Ten awards to celebrate ten excellences in the world of Italian printing, companies that have never ceased to look to the future and grow. Last November 30th, in the magical hall of the Polene of the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, 28th edition of the Italian Print Oscars was held, the event that since 1987 (then called “La Vedovella”) awards companies operating in the print-graphic-converting sector that every year distinguish themselves for quality in a specific work field. And for the second time the stars of industrial printing were also awarded, starting from that of packaging that takes up the lion’s share of the market. Acimga thus confirms its place among the sponsors, together with the associations Assografici and Argi that were there at the outset, completing the panorama of the technologies involved, with flexography and rotogravure alongside offset and digital.
The evening was presented by Enrico Barboglio, CEO of Stratego Group and member of the jury that selected the winners, and Laura La Posta, journalist of Il Sole 24 Ore, with an introduction by Franco Bolelli, Milanese philosopher and writer who reflected on the deep evolution Italian companies are undergoing at this point in history, and argued about how the excellences of the graphic industry can be driven by a positive vision of the future.
The prizes were awarded in two moments during the gala dinner: they were separated by the main dish and the video projection on the Printing Olympics, the beautiful initiative organized by Argi with the endorsement of Enipg to support vocational training and aimed at Graphic, Communication and New Media high schools (the second edition will be held in Milan on 18 and 19 May 2019).
The new features Compared to last year’s edition, we find a new award – the Best Wide Format printer – sponsored by Fujifilm, new entry among the supporters of the event. Furthermore, for the second time, the “plus 4.0” graphics and paper industry company was awarded.
The jury To designate the winners in this edition a jury composed of nine members: Enrico Barboglio, CEO of Stratego Group; Renzo Callegari, consultant for productions at Cheil Italy; Valentina Carnevali, chief marketing manager of Stratego Group and general secretary of DMA Italia; Fausto Ceolini, business consultant for Industry 4.0; Luca Fiammenghi, professor of advanced graphic techniques at the Milan Polytechnic; Stefano Lavorini, director of the ItaliaImballaggio magazine; Franco Martinetti, art director; Giuseppe Peccati, founder of Asso Prod and collaborator of Event management; Marco Sachet, director of the Italian Institute of Packaging.
