In Bangkok, at the fair and at the Global Packaging Forum
Acimga and the Italian Paper and Graphics Federation were guest speakers at the Global Packaging Forum in Bangkok, held during Propak and Printek Asia 2019. Acimga’s director Andrea Briganti represented the Italian packaging and printing industry. The intervention at the forum showed the exceptional and unique process of aggregation that saw Assocarta, Assografici and Acimga join together as a federation. The data accompanying the presentation illustrated the economic weight and the technological maturity reached by the Italian sector, which has always taken pride of place in the world rankings of principal exporting countries. Ample space was given to the environmental sustainability projects implemented by the Italian supply chain for both paper and flexible packaging. Projects that already constitute a model in Europe and that aroused keen interest in Bangkok.
The Global Packaging Forum is the annual global event for the promotion and development of packaging technologies, organized by UBM and AIP (Australian Institute of packaging) with the support of WPO – World Packaging Organization.
The global packaging forum was then followed by the seminar “INDUSTRY 4.0: an international point of view of the State of the Art of the Supply chain. New Production business Model: concept and paradig “. Here the project on Industry 4.0, organized by the Italian Paper and Graphics Federation in collaboration with SDA Bocconi, was presented to the press and local stakeholders, a project that is about to enter phase two with classroom training for companies. The companies Rossini, Donau Carbon Technologies and Epson presented their solutions to the audience in the field of smart manufacturing. The seminar was introduced by UBM Allworld and was attended by ICE Bangkok director Giuseppe Lamacchia.
Printech Asia was held concurrently with Propak Asia at BITEC in Bangkok from 12 to 15 June. The Printech brand, dedicated to the countries of South-East Asia, was created by Acimga in collaboration with UBM Allworld, world leader in the exhibition landscape. Since its inception, the Printech brand has increasingly established itself as an effective solution for visibility, sales and networking for Italian printing and converting companies.

In Moscow together with the major international players
The big RosUpack packaging, labeling and converting fair is taking place in Moscow as we write. Despite the sanctions and the political and economic problems of the area, the territories of the former Soviet Union represent a great outlet market of primary importance for our businesses, and RosUpack is the main trade fair of the “Near East”.
The event features some 20 thousand visitors from 53 countries and 78 regions of Russia and 650 exhibitors from 34 countries (39% international).
The event is supported by the WPO (World Packaging Organization), Acimga, NCPack (National Packaging Confederation) and PackMash (Packaging and Processing Equipment Manufacturing Association).
The Italian exhibitors include the cream of the country’s machine builders: Camis, Ciemme, Gama, Goebel IMS, Omet, Rotomac, Uteco and many others.
In the next issue of the magazine, a dedicated reporting service will give voice to market assessments and the experiences of companies at the fair.
