The new KFlex and the hybrid XJet drew hundreds of visitors to the OMET booth with excellent printing demonstrations during the 4 days of Labelexpo Europe in Bruxelles. OMET has once again impressed with the futuristic digital platform Sfera and the exclusive Center of Agility.
Labelexpo Europe is back after 4 years and once again OMET has proven to be a reference point in the label and packaging printing market. The numerous innovations presented by the Italian company caught the attention and the interest of the visitors. They also had the opportunity to celebrate OMET’s 60th anniversary during the two central days of the exhibition with a special Italian-style party held right at OMET booth.
A stunning and welcoming booth hosted thousands of people over the course of the 4-day exhibition, who could attend live demos on the new OMET KFlex and the hybrid XJet. Additionally, a third printing machine was located inside the Center of Agility, only accessible to customers accompanied by OMET staff.
The new OMET KFlex brought a revolutionary approach to the flexographic printing at Labelexpo. OMET’s 60 years of experience inspired new user-friendly designs, while maintaining all strenghts of the current OMET printing machines. This makes the KFlex the most flexible and easy-to-use flexo machine of the whole industry.
Several innovations were introduced on the KFlex line: among them, the semi-rotary die-cutting unit Swing, which allows die-cutting using a single magnetic cylinder for all label sizes and formats. It operates with standard magnetic dies across a wide range of die-cutting formats. The automatic die-change system is incredibly user-friendly and secure, allowing operators to save time while achieving higher quality in the die-cut product. Other innovations on the KFlex – which produced excellent quality samples during the printing demonstrations and were among the most appreciated at the Labelexpo – included the new OMET Jet-Bar, the digital unit for inkjet printing of raised varnishes, and the Cold Foil Saver unit, which not only enables standard foil application but also achieves a 50% reduction in raw material.
Also attracting many visitors on OMET booth was the new version of the hybrid XJet, the result of a collaboration between two visionary companies, OMET and DURST, both specialized in providing optimized solutions for printers who demand the utmost from their suppliers. With an end-to-end technological integration by OMET and the cutting-edge digital platform by DURST, the result is a machine with a single objective: enable to face market challenges and turn them into new and exciting opportunities without compromises in terms of productivity and profitability. At Labelexpo, OMET and DURST announced a strategic partnership with the aim of further expanding and enhancing the XJet line project.
The Center of Agility caught the interest of many OMET booth visitors, creating long queues to access private presentations and personalized demonstrations on OMET iFlex, the highly-demanded label printing machine, among the flagships of the wide range of solutions offered by OMET.
Great news regarding digitalization: a section of the OMET booth was dedicated to Sfera, the new digital platform by OMET. Sfera is developed to monitor in real-time all connected OMET machines, analyze their related data and assist customers in making better operational decisions.
Sfera is much more than just a digital platform: it is a cutting-edge vision for the industrial future, where the Artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things come together to create unprecedented machine management. With this innovative proposal, OMET places in the hands of its customers a powerful tool to tackle the challenges of the Industry 4.0.
