For this reason the company is closely following technological developments and in 2011 installed a Bobst folder-gluer Masterfold 350 A4 with Polyjoiner model and Logipack box-filler. This line, declares Ballan, has enabled us to both improve production efficiency and the quality of large format multi section boxes. And that is the reason behind the subsequent, recent order for a second Masterfold line and a Mastercut diecutting machine.
«Here we produce many 6 corner and two sector boxes – Ballan explains – and the Masterfold line with Polyjoiner module is able to fold and glue all of these products in all the necessary measures, as well as produce packaging in three parts. Masterfold enables the performance of much faster repetitive machining sequences, saving them in the CUBE3 interface. With this line some operations entailing the throughput of 2,000 pieces an hour can be carried out at double speed».
The Italian company also appreciated the improvement of the quality of the finished products offered by the Masterfold rear stack corrector. Masterfold 350 A4 can handle micro-corrugate-, lithographed laminated-, corrugated single or double wall as well as heavy cartons and classic boxes or those with automatic 4/6 corner bottoms. Its Accufeed section, easy to set and with integrated alignment device, offers all the precision necessary to guarantee a uniform production and to make best use of speeds of as much as 250 meters per minute.
