The associations for the promotion of flexography found the European federation, starting a new era of cooperation, exchange of data and studies as well as joint initiatives.
It is the result of a worthy undertaking by Atif, who has made the official announcement on the opening of the Flexo Day 2014 (Bologna, 26 th November) and is now leading the dances, establishing relations and programs. Co-opted, for now, UK’s EFIA, Spain’s ATEF, France’s ATF, Poland’s PLFTA, Sweden’s SWEFLEX, Denmark’s FDF and Benelux’s EFTA, though openings to other possible candidates are to be considered.
Last Flexo Day was attended by as many as 345 operators, an authoritative moderator (Silvana Canette, KBA-Flexotecnica) and two foreign guests from the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (Swansea University) and the Techology Center Stuttgart DFTA, many important Italian speakers: Stefano d’Andrea (Acus), Sergio Molino (Digi & Co), Carmine Egizio (Mavigrafica), Egizio Scotini with Pierangelo Brambilla (Sun Chemical). and a panel discussion between converters (Corapack) and printing technology suppliers (Omet, Uteco and KBA-Flexotecnica).
Before closing, another notice: Atif will set up of an technology center, in support of the Technical Committee.
