Corazza, the established Padua based converter that offers a wide range of paper bags and flexible packaging, is celebrating the 90 years since its founding and is completing an ambitious investment program that includes a complete solution for the automatic handling and pick-up of sleeves.
The Veneto based company has in fact established itself in the main markets not only for the quality of its products but also for the attention paid to customer satisfaction and the constant updating of its facilities to technological advancement. In this view of things, it has decided to automate sleeve retrieval and optimize available space, acquiring a storage facilities from Due Emme – known provider of sleeve and rubber-coated cylinders storage and grinding systems.
The Due Emme solution was chosen because innovative and, at the same time, due to its simplicity in concept and usage. «It is – says Mario Corazzari, Due Emme account manager – a modular system piloted from a terminal, able to handle and search for sleeves, automating the retrieval sequences and bringing the sleeves to a front operator station. The magazine in question in fact is composed of several independent motorized modules arranged on one or more levels, capable of allocating, in high density and in a vertical position (anti-ovalization), any type of sleeve: print sleeves, anilox sleeves, carriers, rubber sleeves and so on».
