You will read about it in the article on the agreement between the organisers of Sinocorrugated 2023 and Acimga: the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Packaging Printing and Converting Machinery, with its Gruppo Italiano Cartone Ondulato, has become a partner of the Chinese trade fair as part of the multi-faceted WEPACK – World Expo of Packaging Industry.
Our magazine will be a media partner of the event and will be present in distribution at the fair next July. In Shanghai we will give voice and visibility to a Made in Italy industry that boasts an absolutely relevant international presence. How relevant you will discover in the very rich “Special Report” that closes the issue, but also in the data of the StudiaBo report on page 19 and in the success and technology stories of the companies that speak through our pages.
This collaboration is part of a long-term project, an element of a real ‘foreign policy’ in support of the Italian printed packaging industry that, in our part of the world, has Print4All 2025 as its exhibition reference, which in turn is part of the Innovation Alliance. In the third edition of the transversal printing fair, corrugated board will represent a strategic pillar, the European benchmark of a high-tech industry that continues to grow by generating value.
But there is another dominant theme in our reports on sector association conferences – here we talk about Roto4All, Intergraf, Atif, Gifco congresses, and others are imminent – and that is sustainability. That too is the subject of ‘foreign policy’ actions by private and public entities engaged in discussing the approach and content of the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. At stake is the role and future of packaging and of an industry that in Italy has generated highly advanced technologies and a recovery and recycling circuit that is among the most virtuous and effective in the world. There is only time until 1 October to submit proposals and amendments, then we will see.
