Checkpoint Systems, wellknown provider of hi-tech solutions for goods management, has been bought up by CCL Industries Inc., company specialized in the production of labels and packaging.
The value of the transaction – subject to due approval – is set at 10.15 dollars per share for a total value of around 443 million dollars.
George Babich, President and CEO of Checkpoint Systems pointed out that, as a division of CCL, the company will be able to make the necessary investments to create a single offer for brand and retail inventory management.
Checkpoint provides end-to-end solutions to manage real-time inventory, speed up the supply of stocks, prevent stock run-out and reduce theft. The good reputation of the company is based on 45 years of experience in radio frequency technology, with innovative solutions, market leading RFID hardware and software that provide comprehensive labeling capabilities.
