Xaar presented its single-pass inkjet bar print system at Labelexpo. The system employs the Xaar 1002 line of high precision industrial printheads, based on patented TF Technology.
The concern offers the solution as a versatile an easy to set up system, suitable for personalized and variable data, special effects and printing in small runs, with a wide range of applications, including labels and packaging. In particular, it is compatible with a wide range of inks and fluids, including spot colors (K or CMY), protective lacquers, high-build spot varnish, heavily pigmented high-opacity under-surface whites, cold foil adhesives, metallics, etc., making it possible for users to render special effects and variable data in a digital format, with significant time and cost savings.
The Xaar print bar offers a complete turnkey system, with a wide selection of Xaar printheads (GS6, GS12 or GS40, depending on the application), an ink feed system and complete print and workflow management functions to guarantee total control of the process. A wide range of webs are available, from 70 to 560 mm, in single or double configuration. Standard speeds run up to 75 m/min.
The system is designed for easy integration with a wide variety of setups with roller or sheet-fed machinery, and at any point in the printing process. It can also be easily adapted to existing analog presses, integrated with new modules or used as a stand-alone solution. It can also be configured for high speeds, high exposure or multi-process applications.
