From 4 to 6 March 2024, Plast Alger and PrintPack Alger will be held at the Palais des Expositions d’Alger – SAFEX. In the hall dedicated to machines for the graphic, paper and converting industries, an Italian pavilion will be organized by ITA (Italian Trade Agency) in collaboration with Acimga (the association of Italian manufacturers of machinery for the graphic, paper and converting industry), providing a place where visitors can meet Italian manufacturers and discover the latest technological innovations from Italy.
Italy is Algeria’s top supplier of packing and packaging machinery, with a market share of 29% and a value of 37 million dollars.
The Algerian market in the last thirteen years more than tripled its value, from 42 million euros in 2010 to 137 million euros in 2023. Italy is Algeria’s top supplier of machines for the graphic, paper and converting industries, with a market share of 17,7%. Next are Germany (15.7%), China (14.5%), France (8.8%) and Turkey (1.7%). The forecasts for the next four-year period see Italy retains its top spot, increasing its market share up to 18.9%.
