Slitter rewinders: Laem System merges with Eutro Log.
February saw the termination of the process that sees
Laem System enter in Eutro Log SpA, adding an element of depth to a conglomerate that also includes Zimac and Logistix (robotics). After years of profitable cooperation, in which the staff of the two companies have worked together in sync and dynamically, the union on a legal and economic level has now also been completed. A step, the actors indicate, that creates an even stronger and more compact group of experts, offering a more global view of the market with an even more customer oriented “technological” approach, capable of providing integrated, complete solutions.
The skills. Eutro Log provides “robotics, logistics and automation”. In more detail, its offer comprises robotized systems, industrial automation, transport and end-of-line systems, palletizers and AGVs, special automatic warehouses, integrated management software. Laem System is one of the main Italian designers and builders of slitter rewinders and converting machines. On numerous occasions it has featured alongside Eutro Log, the two companies offering themselves to converters in the vestige of expert consultants in production processes, in order to study and propose optimum solutions in terms of profits and efficiency.
An emblematic example. The integrated i-Solution system, presented during the open house last July 2013, fields latest generation robots and the integrated automatisms of the slitter rewinder towers, to enable the management of a complete slitting and packaging section. The workflow offers special functions and benefits. The reels are automatically slit on the TR4 and RB4 high speed tower machines (600 or 800 m/min) without the operator touching the material: all the more important in that often food contact films are produced, hence requiring conditions of max hygiene. The reels are then transported for diameter and the web width quality control, labeled (both inside the core and on the outside of the reel) with the data demanded by the end customer. Lastly, they are packed in PET with automatic closure, palletised and automatically sent to storage.
