No sector has shown as much dynamicity in acquisitions, partnerships and mergers of late as that of packaging and labeling. As much has been confirmed by the news emerging over the last few days of an important new transaction. Nuceria Adesivi, the holding company of Nuceria Group and the Brazilian Baumgarten have joined forces with All4Labels Group GmbH, the operational holding company of a leading multinational group in the sector of flexible packaging and adhesive and self-adhesive labels. As explained in a statement by Nctm Studio Legale, which assisted Nuceria Adesivi’s partners in the transaction, the merger will create one of the world’s largest and most important flexible packaging and labeling business groups. A group, as reported by the Labels & Labeling website, with total revenues exceeding 500 million euro with 29 plants worldwide.
Adrian Tippenhauer, co-CEO, All4Labels Group, commented: «This new combination marks another milestone in the success story of both All4Labels and Nuceria. Nuceria is an outstanding company. Through its innovative and customer-focused approach the Iannone family has managed to significantly outperform the market over the last decades, growing above 10 percent year-on-year. We are proud to welcome them to our team. Together we will be able to offer our customers a wider production footprint and globalize our wine and spirits activities as an additional market segment».
To guarantee business continuity, the Iannone family will remain in charge of the group’s activities in Italy, and will additionally take over responsibilities in the wider group, partly due to the related reinvestment of All4Labels’ share capital.
Antonio Iannone, founder and managing director of Nuceria Group, will be responsible for the success of the Italian operations. «Our customers are our most valuable asset», he said. «I keep on working to guarantee our main goal: to create the best possible partnership with customers, adapting every day to their needs and identifying solutions tailored to their requirements. I strongly believe that, by joining All4Labels group, we will overcome the global challenges».
Guido Iannone, general manager of Nuceria Group, will become a member of the All4Labels global management board and will take over responsibility for one of the global sales business units. He stated: «Becoming part of this great family is for all of us a great stimulus for improvement and growth. We will bring our energy and creativity to this partnership».
The post-merger global integration process will start at the beginning of July and will last for six months.
With its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, All4Labels was founded in 2016 as a global platform for family-owned businesses that share the vision to develop sustainable packaging solutions in a global context.
Nuceria Adesivi was founded in 1986 by Antonio Iannone and has since become, following investments and acquisitions, a leading packaging group as Nuceria Group. Active in the production of labels, boxes and flexible packaging, Nuceria has four production sites in Nocera, Salerno, Milan and Turin, following its acquisition in 2014 of the Piedmontese Appia Etichette. Employing 250 people, the group doubled its turnover between 2011 and 2016 to some 68 million euro. During the same period it invested nearly 30 million euro in its production capacity and new printing technologies.
