A double issue for this Drupa that arrives after 8 years, doubling the normal cadence for the wellknown, exceptional reasons. An issue with a double ‘Special Feature’: one dedicated to the companies exhibiting at the German exhibit, with a nice survey documenting visitors’ expectations, and one on the corrugated cardboard market which, although not yet fully expressing its potential, remains a formidable outlet for producers of this material with remarkable properties. An issue, we again point out, with a double density of content both in terms of market data and updates on the evolution of technologies and proposals of companies that, in fact, continue to collect ‘success stories’. We tell these stories in this issue of Converting, with, among others, that of Siegwerk, in Italy with La Sorgente, which is launching a world preview of its new UniNATURE flexo ink series in our magazine: an unprecedented and striking formula that raises the bar of environmental sustainability for this type of product to a new level. Proving once again, if proof were needed, that industry can achieve anything if it wants to. And that the legislator has, even in our world, enormous power of guidance. Let us hope that it uses it well…
Converting Magazine always with you, at Drupa too!
This is a substantial issue, full of content, one to keep on the bookshelf. Elena already anticipated many of the topics that we will cover in this issue, each of which would deserve a dedicated in-depth study. And I do not rule out the possibility that, soon, we will be able to dedicate a whole special issue to each of the themes collected in this edition. The editorial staff has spent time collecting, documenting and discussing the novelties that will be on display at Drupa, including those dedicated to the corrugatedcardboard sector to which a special section and special attention fromthe whole team is dedicated, beginning with the event in Germany. Drupa will be the place where we can talk and meet: we will be present in Hall 3, stand A23 and we invite you to collect a printed copy and to bring it along with you, using it as a practical and convenient guide to visit the fair. To readers, companies and professionals, I wish you all “good Drupa” and to get to know each other in a few days.
