After previous growth milestones – which saw Inciflex Srl take a leap forward in terms of structure and prospects, designing a group with international reach and strategy – the Salerno-based pre-press service has made a new acquisition. We learn this as we go to press, and the name of the Lombardy-based company specialising in engraving of rotogravure cylinders, which in recent days has entered the Inciflex orbit, has not yet been disclosed. Here are the words with which the CEO, Vincenzo (Enzo) Consalvo, makes the first announcement.

“The uncertainty in world markets over the last few years, the frightening threat of war in Europe, the reappearing of the Covid nightmare announced in recent days, and not even the objective evidence of a downturn in the domestic packaging market that has been going on for a few years now… All of this has not been enough to dampen my desire to give a proactive and confident signal to the entire Inci.Flex Group and to my customers. A signal that conveys the will of a company determined not to be bent by temporary political and economic downturns, that turns its eyes and heart towards new and exciting challenges that can bring it new technological and commercial skills, to the benefit of our national and international customers. It is therefore with immense joy that I inform everyone that on 20 October 2023, following long and thoughtful deliberations, I have decided to sign the Acquisition Agreement with a Lombardy company specialising in engraving of rotogravure cylinders.”

Announcing updates and insights shortly, the entrepreneur adds a few remarks that give an idea of the historical significance of this new investment.

“I can say that I was born and raised in this industry. I remember when I was a child and my father Carmine used to take me with him to work, to proudly show me how rotogravure cylinders were engraved – back then, in the 1980s. I am sure he would be proud of this decision because his true passion has always remained gravure engraving. This new quantum leap will put a strain on our internal reorganisation capacity, but it will certainly give a new and exciting propulsion to the whole business, bringing new stimuli and common goals. I would like to thank all my employees, whose daily work and dedication to the company support me, and from whom I draw the energy and confidence necessary to make decisions of this magnitude, in the interest and common good of all.”
