SLITTER REWINDERS Laem System confirms its global growth strategy and establishes itself in North America.
Internationally established as a designer and manufacturer of slitter rewinders, Laem System (Casale Monferrato, AL) has recently focused on the development and promotion of the TR4 (turret rewinding) and TR2 (dual shaft rewinding) models, which have enjoyed a particular success on the North American market.
The TR brand series of machines in fact stands as the Piedmontese concern’s response to converters’ needs, that by increasing the efficiency of the slitting section, at the same time intend improving the quality of the finished rolls and increase productivity.
This line of slitter rewinders in particular synchronously carries out the automatic turret indexing, the extraction of the finished rolls and the unloading cycle, so as to always maintain production at maximum level while simultaneously reducing downtime. Likewise the automatic positioning of the knives and counter-knives enable job changes several times a day without affecting productivity
Some significant details – Laem System TR sitters are very sturdy, enabling high speed working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Paying particular attention to the details that count most in the converting cycle, the offloader has been redesigned with electromechanical gripping of the rolls from pallet or ground, and the machine has no hydraulics. In addition, the web path between the slitting and rewinding unit is very short, thus ensuring best quality rewinding. The path in question remains constant during the entire production cycle thanks to the linear movable frames that move with the increase in diameter of the finished roll, while allowing efficient removal of static charges from the film.
The positioning of the slitting stations and the counter-knives can be semi automatic (assisted in positioning by a lateral display) or fully automatic so that once the production parameters have been set by the operator, the machine itself completes the settings.
Among the options included, we note the sealing of the finished rolls with adhesive tape, the automatic core hopper for fully automatic core positioning in rewinding and the other automatic devices for post slitting operations (automatic palletizing systems, quality control, the automatic labeling and bagging of the single rolls etc).
Speaking German at ICE
Laem System will be exhibiting at ICE Europe (Hall A6, stand 275) along with its German agent Block and Mohr. Bolstered by the presence of the same, and their indispensable linguistic support, the Casale based company is thus set to penetrate the local market, offering leading edge products and all the information regarding technological innovation.
The Laem System staff will hence be at the fair to illustrate the design of their machines and systems for finished roll handling, rightly considered one of the critical aspects of the productivity of any company, as well as relaunch a marketing philosophy that is based on partnership with the user and thus on the ability to listen to their needs, as well as on the flexibility and excellence of the company’s after sales service.
