This speed of the Landa Nanographic Printing®, which promises offset quality at competitive costs and announces an innovative application of nanotechnology used for metalisation.
Of its line of digital printing presses under the Nanographic Printing® brand, at Drupa Landa will be presenting the B1 sheet fed models that run at 13,000 sheets/h, and one meter coil fed models for plastic wrapping film. The Israeli company, set up by the brilliant “inventor” of the digital print, will be bringing the Landa Nano-Metallography™ to the fair, a zero waste metallization technology that halves the cost of metallized printing processes compared to heat transfer foil. It combines with flexo narrow web, offset and screen printing for labels, sheet-fed offset for folding cartons and commercial printing, web offset for publishing, broad web and intaglio printing for flexible packaging.
«Current metallization processes involve high prices arising from the cost of the laminas and the high amount of waste», Landa Group President Benny Landa explains on this count. «Our Nano-Metallography™ enables metalized effects to be obtained at less than half the cost of the laminas, without generating waste, and is compatible with microwave systems. We expect it to be available on the market as early as next year».
5 demos a day. In its 3000 square meters of stand, for the entire duration of the fair, Landa will carry out five presentations per day of all technologies. In particular, the nano-Metallography™ will be “demonstrated” on a narrow web roll fed machine for producing labels.
